Design and Flexibility
Braided Roundslings are fabricated by intertwining multiple endless slings—three for 6-part slings and four for 8-part slings. This unique design not only improves strength and load-bearing capacity but also offers the flexibility to disassemble the slings if needed. When properly tagged, individual component slings can be separated for use in other lifting applications. Once the large-capacity lift is completed, consider returning the slings to our facility for disassembly, inspection, and re-tagging, make sure their continued reliability and safety.
6-Part Braids (Part No - HH6BR)
The 6-Part Braided Roundsling (Part No - HH6BR) is meticulously designed for projects requiring substantial strength and reliability. Designed from 3 endless round slings braided together, this sling offers superior load distribution and stability, making it a perfect choice for vertical, choker, or basket hitch applications. Its flexible design allows it to conform closely to the load, reducing slippage and providing a secure lift. Also, the 6-Part Braided Roundsling is lightweight and easy to handle, making it a practical option for various heavy-duty lifting tasks.
8-Part Braids (Part No - HH8BR)
The 8-Part Braided Roundsling (Part No - HH8BR) provides great strength and durability, ideal for the most demanding lifting operations. With 4 endless round slings braided together, this sling offers greater load capacity and increased resistance to abrasion and wear. Its unique braided design provides even stress distribution, reducing the risk of kinks and load shifting during lifts. The 8-Part Braided Roundsling is designed to handle higher capacities while remaining soft, flexible, and easy to manage, making it suitable for use in various hitches, including vertical, choker, and basket configurations.
Advantages of Endless Flat Braided Roundslings
Braided Roundslings combine the security needed for high-capacity lifts with the benefits of our standard polyester roundsling line. Here’s why they stand out:
- Abrasion-Resistant Eyes: The eyes of each sling are covered with abrasion-resistant polyester, enhancing durability and longevity.
- Soft and Flexible: These slings are soft and easy to handle, conforming well to the load to provide a secure and stable lift.
- Excellent Strength-to-Weight Ratio: Despite their strength, braided roundslings maintain a lightweight profile, making them easier to use and transport.
- Color-Coded Capacities: Each sling’s capacity is color-coded for quick and easy identification, streamlining your lifting operations.
- Tagged for Identification: Every braided roundsling is tagged, to easily identify the correct sling for your specific needs.
- Redundant Safety Design: The braided body provides added safety compared to steel slings, offering a reliable alternative with similar strength but greater flexibility.
Performance and Specifications
Braided roundslings offer redundant safety, and their design is easier to handle compared to traditional steel slings. These slings have a stretch of approximately 10% at their rated capacity, providing a balanced blend of flexibility and load control. Each braided sling is manufactured to strict specifications, providing consistency and reliability in every lift.
Note: Braided slings are subject to a tolerance of +/- 2 feet and 5-10% variation in length, providing adaptability across various applications.
Safety Considerations
Warning: Braided roundslings can fail if damaged, misused, or overloaded. It is crucial to inspect slings before each use and to make sure they are operated by trained personnel. Always observe and never exceed the Work Load Limit (WLL). Improper use or maintenance of these slings can result in serious injury or death.
